Children's Artistic Dance Studies: Ballet, Lyrical Dance, Theatre Dance

 Adult Ballet

Ballet classes are an inspirational time, cultivating imagination and enthusiasm alongside learning the formal technique and steps. Our dancers are given freedom to create their own dances, learn about different ballets, design costumes, learn solo or group dances. It's a magical time that I really enjoy. There are children's and Adult Ballet Classes, beginners to advanced.

Alongside Ballet, we offer Lyrical Dance and Theatre Dance as part of our children's Artistic Dance combination class package. We study a different subject each week.

• Lyrical Dance has a wonderful freedom to it. It allows dancers to express themselves through moves full of drama and emotion. This requires flow and control of the movements which uses the techniques of the ballet we study.

• Theatre Dance is another complementary but very alternative way of using the ballet we learn. Here we learn steps and combinations that would be seen in traditional stage musicals. This requires lots of body strength and the technique brought through from Ballet, and is lots of fun.

Children's Theatre Studies Combo - Urban Grooves, Rhythm Tap and Music 

Adult Rhythm Tap

American Rhythm Tap is sassy and fun! We relax, let go and have fun, dancing out rhythms with our feet in short phrases of funky tap steps. We learn dances too, putting together all our hard work in a fun routine. Beginners to advanced, children and adult dance classes too.

Alongside Rhythm Tap, we offer Urban Grooves and Music as part of our children's Theatre Studies Combo package. We study a different subject each week.

• Urban Grooves are Funky moves, chart music and a whole lot of cool! If you've got the hip hop swagger, then we want you! If you want the swagger, then we've got you!.. just come along and we'll help you find it! We also learn Kpop routines and make our own dances up too. We have children's street dance classes available. 

• Music is integral to a dancer, so we help pupils find the beat, learn the basics of music theory, start to read music, learn to play the piano and sing. 

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great opportunity to capture the attention of the teacher and really get to grips with steps or combinations that matter to you. Those who would like to learn on their own without a class, for themselves, for something special, to improve their technique or coaching for a dance college audition will love these lessons. We work hard on the specific things you would like to improve upon, focusing on technique and alignment and have lots of fun with it. We have had successful outcomes with students now attending Wigan & Leigh College Performing Arts Diploma Course, Manchester College of Dance, and Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts #wiganandleighcollege #lipa 

Wedding first dance

The Wedding 'First Dance' is always a special part of a Wedding Day and creates a magical memory for years to come. Learning this with us is a fun and relaxed experience for the wedding couple, and we particularly welcome beginner dancers. The dance we create for you can be formal or in a style of your choice. It is your lesson, we listen to you, enjoy collaborating with you to make your dance extra special. We have had clients from many different areas including Chorley, Leyland, Whittle le Woods, Standish and Preston.

About Miss Angela 

I have been highly trained at Vocational level in all dance styles and have danced professionally in musicals in theatres and on National Tour. I have a B Phil (Hons) degree in Ballet and Contextual Studies with Durham University and The Royal Academy of Dance. The ballet classes that I teach are based on the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Syllabi.
